Practice Consistent Charging Habits
- Charge daily for a minimum of 8 hours, and at least once a week
- Use the manufacturer’s recommended charger and charging routine
- Avoid ultra-deep discharges and never drain your batteries completely
- Charge batteries immediately after use
Wear Proper Protective Equipment When Handling Batteries
- Take off any jewellery from your hands and wrists, including rings, watches and bracelets
- Always wear eye protection such as safety glasses or goggles
- Wear protective clothing
- Keep any sparks, flames or cigarettes away from the batteries
Proper Storage & Maintenance
- Always store the batteries disconnected and fully charged
- Charge the batteries once a month while in storage for a minimum of 24 hours
- Avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures when storing batteries
- Keep the valves clean. Never attempt to open the valves
